1. The service
CreatorBoard (“we”, “us”, the “Service”) is an independent creator-discovery platform. We display creator profiles on leaderboards, category pages and shelves, ranked by the eligible qualifying amount a profile has paid toward its placement. These Terms govern anyone who submits a profile, makes a payment, or otherwise uses the Service.
CreatorBoard is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or officially connected with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. See our Instagram Independence Policy.
2. No account required
The Service does not require you to register an account, log in, or connect an Instagram account. Submitted profiles are managed exclusively through an opaque, unguessable management link sent to the email address provided at submission. You are responsible for keeping that link and email address secure — anyone with the link can manage the placement it belongs to.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to submit a profile or make a payment.
- You must own or have express authorisation to represent the Instagram profile you submit.
- You must be legally able to enter a binding contract and to make the payment method you use.
4. What a placement is
A “placement” is the display of a submitted profile on the Service at the position its eligible qualifying amount currently earns, for a period of 30 days from activation. A placement activates once the associated payment is confirmed. Placement position is not fixed for the duration of the placement — it continues to reflect the ranking rule in our Competition & Bidding Rules for as long as the placement is active.
5. Qualifying amounts accumulate
Payments toward the same board and period add up rather than replace one another. If you are outbid, you do not need to start over: paying the difference on top of what you’ve already paid this period raises your qualifying amount by that difference, and can move you back above the creator who overtook you. Full mechanics, including how this interacts with the tie-break rule, are in our Competition & Bidding Rules and explained in plain language at how ranking works.
6. What payment buys
Your payment buys visibility and placement on the Service only. It does not buy, and we make no representation that it will produce, any Instagram followers, likes, views, reach, impressions, engagement or revenue. It is not an Instagram advertising product and is not purchased through, or affiliated with, Instagram or Meta in any way.
Once a placement has been activated and displayed on the Service, it has been delivered, and the payment for it is non-refundable — including where the profile’s position subsequently drops, where the profile is outbid, or where the creator is dissatisfied with the traffic produced. Charges made in error — a duplicate charge, a charge where no placement was ever activated, or a charge taken after a technical failure on our side — are corrected as payment errors, not as refunds of a delivered placement. See our Refund Policy for the full rule and how to request a correction.
7. Prohibited use
You must not use the Service to submit, promote, or link to content that:
- is fraudulent, a scam, or intended to deceive visitors,
- impersonates another person, brand, or organisation,
- infringes another party's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property,
- is illegal in the jurisdiction it targets,
- harasses, threatens, or targets an individual,
- contains malware or malicious links,
- is sexually explicit, exploitative, or otherwise abusive, or
- manipulates or attempts to manipulate ranking through fraudulent payments, bots, or automated means.
Full detail is in our Platform Rules.
8. Moderation and suspension
We may review, remove, or suspend any profile or placement that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or our Platform Rules, at our discretion and without prior notice where the suspected violation is serious (fraud, illegal content, or harm to another person). Where reasonably practicable, we will notify the email address on file and explain the action taken.
9. Intellectual property
The Service’s design, software, and CreatorBoard-generated content (rankings, badges, page layouts) are owned by us or our licensors. You retain ownership of the profile description, images, and other content you submit, and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display it on the Service for the duration of your placement.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee any particular position, any level of profile views or outbound clicks, or any outcome on Instagram. Estimated positions shown before activation are estimates only and may change. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CreatorBoard and its officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for the placement giving rise to the claim.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. A new version number and date will be published at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Where a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify active placement holders by email.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction to be confirmed], without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
