The rule behind every position on CreatorBoard, explained in full — including how ties are broken, how to pay more to climb back, and why an estimate can move.
Channels on each CreatorBoard leaderboard are ranked by eligible qualifying amount — the number the rest of the site calls your bid — highest first. The channel with the highest eligible qualifying amount holds position #1; every other position follows in descending order.
The eligible qualifying amount is everything the listing was worth to that board when it activated: the amount charged, plus any Creator Credits spent on it. Credit buys exactly the same position a payment does — that is what makes it credit rather than a rebate.
When two or more channels hold the same eligible qualifying amount, the tie is broken by whoever reached that amount first — the channel that arrived at its current total earliest is ranked higher. If a channel tops up to a new, higher amount, the clock for tie-break purposes resets to the moment of that top-up, because that is when it reached its new total.
Worked example
Creator A reaches $250 on Tuesday at 09:00 UTC. Creator B reaches $250 on Wednesday at 14:00 UTC. Both channels now hold the same eligible qualifying amount, so it is a tie on amount alone — but Creator A reached $250 first, so Creator A is ranked above Creator B until one of them adds to their amount. If Creator B later tops up past $250, the $250 tie stops mattering — Creator B is judged on its new, higher amount instead.

Amounts accumulate within a period — every payment you make toward the same board and period adds to your qualifying amount, it doesn’t replace it. That means if another creator outbids you, you don’t need to match their whole amount from scratch: paying the difference on top of what you’ve already paid this period is enough to reclaim your position.
Worked example
This only works inside the same week. Because the weekly board resets to zero at Monday 00:00:00 UTC, a $50 payment made last week does not carry into this week — Creator A would need to build a fresh qualifying amount from zero once a new week starts.

Every position CreatorBoard shows before a placement is confirmed is an estimate, computed from the leaderboard information available at that moment. Because other creators can add to or start a placement at any time, an estimated position can change before your payment is confirmed or your placement is activated. The position that matters is the one your channel holds once your placement is active and displayed.

CreatorBoard also runs an all-time global board, which never resets and so includes every entrant from every past competition, and a listing always sits lower there. Your final position is determined by eligible confirmed payments and the leaderboard state when your placement is activated; other participants may change their position before your payment is confirmed.

A closed competition credits its Top 10 finishers from a published reward pool, in Creator Credits, spendable on a future listing.
Every closed competition is published permanently, with its final Top 10 and the exact credit each position received.

A Top 10 finish adds Creator Credits to the total held by the email address that paid for the winning listing. There is no code and nothing to redeem — it comes off the total automatically at checkout, up to half of any one listing, and expires 40 days after it becomes spendable. Nothing is sent to you directly, and no identity verification is required to receive it.
Each pool is funded by the listings that created the competition. 20% of the bid held by each of the week’s Top 10 goes into that week’s pool, and 30% goes into the month’s. A listing therefore contributes to both competitions at once: $1,000 held in the Top 10 puts $200 in the weekly pool and $300 in the monthly pool. Every board funds its own pools — a Short’s amount never funds the channel board’s prize, and the other way round.
Both pools grow as the competition does, so the figures below are the pools as they stand right now — not a promise. Each is fixed at the moment its competition closes, and the Top 10 are awarded against that fixed number. Amounts held outside the Top 10 fund nothing.
When a competition period closes, the Top 10 finishing positions are locked in based on eligible confirmed payments at that moment. Each position receives credit worth its published share of that period’s reward pool — the amounts on this page are illustrative for the current pool size and update as the pool changes.
