Competition & Bidding Rules

Any channel submitted with a confirmed payment of at least the published minimum amount is entered into the weekly board, the monthly board, and the cumulative Global CreatorBoard. No account or approval is required to enter — entry is automatic once payment is confirmed.

A channel’s “qualifying amount” for a board and period is the sum of every confirmed, non-disqualified payment that channel has made toward that board within that period — not just its most recent payment. Payments accumulate rather than replace one another: if you pay $50 and later pay $51 more toward the same board and period, your qualifying amount for that period is $101, not $51.

A payment counts toward a period only if it was made inside that period’s window (Section 6). A weekly qualifying amount is built entirely from payments made inside that specific week — it does not carry over from a previous week, and does not borrow from a later one. The same payment can count toward more than one board at once: a payment made this week counts toward this week’s weekly board, the calendar month’s monthly board, and always toward the Global CreatorBoard, which never resets (Section 6).

Within each board, channels are ordered by qualifying amount, highest first. The channel with the highest qualifying amount holds position #1. See how ranking works for a plain-language walkthrough with worked examples.

Because qualifying amounts accumulate within a period (Section 2), a channel that has been outbid is not required to start over — it can pay the difference needed to move back above the channel that overtook it, and every payment made within the same board and period counts toward that goal. For example: Creator A pays $50 and holds #1. Creator B then pays $100 and takes #1, moving Creator A to #2. Creator A pays a further $51, bringing their qualifying amount for the period to $101 — above Creator B’s $100 — and Creator A reclaims #1.

This only works within the same board and period. A weekly qualifying amount does not carry into the next week (Section 2), so an outbid position cannot be reclaimed with a top-up made after that week’s board has reset — a fresh qualifying amount must be built in the new week instead.

Where two or more channels hold an identical qualifying amount, the tie is broken by whoever reached that amount first: the channel whose qualifying amount arrived at its current total earliest is ranked higher.

“Reached first” is evaluated against the current total, not the channel’s history. Every time a payment changes a channel’s qualifying amount, the clock for tie-break purposes resets to that payment’s confirmation time, because that is when the channel arrived at its new total. A practical consequence: if Creator A has held $100 since Monday and Creator B tops up to $100 on Wednesday, the two are now tied on amount, but Creator A is ranked higher because Creator A reached $100 first. Creator B does not inherit any earlier time from a smaller amount it may have held before topping up — only the moment it reached the amount it holds now counts.

Positions are always distinct. Where two channels hold an identical qualifying amount and an identical recorded timestamp, the order between them is decided by the board’s internal ordering and one is placed above the other. There is no shared position and no shared reward: each finishing position is awarded once, to one channel.

• The weekly board runs from Monday 00:00:00 UTC to the following Monday 00:00:00 UTC. The instant a new Monday 00:00:00 UTC begins, the weekly board resets to zero for every channel and a new weekly qualifying amount starts accumulating.
• The monthly board runs for the full calendar month in UTC, from 00:00:00 UTC on the 1st to 00:00:00 UTC on the 1st of the following month.
• The Global CreatorBoard has no period window and never resets — it is cumulative across every weekly and monthly competition a channel has ever entered.

Any position shown before a period closes is an estimate computed from the leaderboard information available at that moment. Final positions are determined only when a period closes, using the qualifying amounts and timestamps recorded up to that moment. An estimated position — including one shown immediately after payment — can change before the period closes.

Because other channels may add to their own qualifying amount at any time, a position estimated for you at the moment of payment can move before your placement is confirmed and activated. This is expected behaviour under this ranking rule, not an error.

A channel or its qualifying amount may be excluded from a board where we determine that:

• a payment was made with a stolen or fraudulent payment method,
• amounts were added using bots, scripts, or other automated means,
• the channel violates our Platform Rules, or
• multiple channels were coordinated to circumvent these rules.

Disqualified amounts do not count toward ranking on any board, and remaining channels are re-ordered accordingly.

When a weekly or monthly period ends at the boundary in Section 6, the board is locked at the qualifying amounts and timestamps recorded at that instant. Final results are published on the corresponding Hall of Fame or results page.

Every channel on a closed board is entered with a qualifying amount of at least $2, since that is the minimum for entry under Section 1. Whether a Top 10 finish also earns credit is a separate question with its own conditions — including that the position’s share of the credit total rounds to at least one whole dollar — set out in our Reward Rules.
